With the Rock N Play Recall, I’ve had SO MANY mommas asking me what alternatives there are to the Rock N Play. Below, I have listed several Alternatives to the Rock N Play with direct links to the items or you can create a Registry on Amazon and simply add them to it via the links below. Five alternatives to the rock n play
Graco DreamGlider Gliding Swing and Sleeper: Until I began working on this article, I hadn’t seen this item. I have to say, it looks really incredible! The price tag is certainly larger than the Rock N Play, but because it’s a motion swing as well, you’re getting two products in one! A self rocking basinet was a must for me, and this motion looks great for new babies!
Fisher-Price Sweet Snugapuppy Dreams Cradle ‘n Swing: This product is highly recommended by many of my momma friends. I love that it can rock in either direction. I also think that out of all of the options, this one is the most adorable. Who doesn’t love puppies?
SNOO Smart Sleeper by Happiest Baby: If budget is no object, there is no better alternative than the SNOO. It’s an absolutely incredible infant bed that helps soothe your baby to sleep and keeps them swaddled (on their back!) so you don’t have to worry about them flipping over. It has built in microphones that know when to start rocking the baby back to sleep. Incredible technology!
Graco Simple Sway Baby Swing: A cost effective option! I love the small footprint of the design and the vibrating options. The vibration was one of the things that helped my daughter the most in the Rock N Play
Graco Sense2Soothe Swing with Cry Detection Technology: An option similar to the SNOO (but 1/4 of the price) is the Sense2Soothe swing. It hears when your baby is crying and tries different speeds and motions until it finds the perfect one to soothe your baby! You can also remove the swing itself for a portable bouncer which saves you money (and space!) on another baby gear item.
Which one would I choose?
While the SNOO is an amazing product, it’s just not within a reasonable budget for my family. My choice would be the Graco DreamGlider Gliding Swing and Sleeper. I think the price is reasonable, especially considering you can use this as your in-room basinet and a rocker as well. I think the product looks fantastic, has vibrations and sounds, and looks like it will actually get a baby to sleep.
There you go! If you are looking for alternatives to the Rock and Play, those would be my top 5 choices! Best of luck getting your little one to sleep <3
